    Early Life and Education

    Born in 1925 in Uttar Pradesh, India, Maulana Wahiduddin Khan lost his father at the age of four and was raised by his mother and uncle. He received his early education at the Madrastul Islah seminary and completed his Alim course in 1944.

    Joining and Leaving Jamaat-e-Islami

    Khan joined the Jamaat-e-Islami and rose through its ranks, becoming a member of its Central Committee. However, ideological differences led him to leave the party in 1963 and publish his critique, "Tabir Ki Galti" ("The Error of Interpretation").
