Salma Valgarma Hayek Jiménez (born September 2, 1966) is an Academy Award-nominated Mexicanactress, Emmy-winning director, movie producer and television producer. She is the most successful Latin-American actress in Hollywood since Carmen Miranda. Hayek has appeared in more than thirty movies and worked as an actress outside of Hollywood in Mexico and Spain.

She is known for starring in films such as Desperado (1995), Wild Wild West (1999), Frida (2002), Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003), Grown Ups (2010), Savages (2012), Grown Ups 2 (2013), The Hitman's Bodyguard (2017), and House of Gucci (2021). She played Ajak in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Eternals (2021), which emerged as her highest-grossing live action film.
